Allie & Derrick | Central California Wedding

Weddings

Allie & Derrick’s Central California wedding was one of my favorites to date! I don’t know how I get so lucky working with some of the most amazing couples, but I’m definitely not complaining. I actually took Allie & Derrick’s engagement photos awhile back in Big Sur, and we instantly got along super well. We kept in touch via social media, and we just had so much in common that we basically just felt like friends. Not to mention, Allie is truly one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. I originally didn’t have availability for their wedding because my Fall 2021 schedule was packed. But I loved working with them so much that I thought one more couldn’t hurt, right? And I’m so glad I did, because their Central California wedding was a blast! I can’t imagine not being there for their special day.

The love that surrounded Allie & Derrick on their wedding day was by far one of the best parts. They both exchanged pre-ceremony gifts, which I thought was such a sweet gesture! Derrick gifted Allie the cutest little view finder camera with pictures throughout their relationship. There was truly no doubting how much these two are meant for each other.

Derrick was fighting back tears as Allie made her way down the aisle – and so was everyone in attendance! You could tell that everybody there was there to celebrate A & D’s love to the greatest extent possible. This made their entire day feel like one big, joy-filled celebration. I’m so happy that they were able to spend this day surrounded by people who love and care about them so much.

After their ceremony, we took some sunset portraits at their venue, Clos LaChance Winery, and I couldn’t believe how amazing they turned out. The lighting was just right, the vineyards made for a beautiful backdrop, and of course A & D looked like they came straight out of a fairytale. Once we were done with the portraits, we headed to their reception. Of course, they were the life of the party and everyone followed suit. I loved the energy they brought throughout the entire day!
