Get ready for some serious OMG moments while you look through these gorgeous Big Sur maternity photos. I had the best time photographing Leslie and Paul! They were such a sweet couple. When Leslie reached out to me online and asked me about a maternity session at Big Sur, I was so freakin’ excited! Not only is Big Sur my absolute favorite place, but her inquiry was full of so much enthusiasm. I just KNEW our time together was going to be so much fun, and I was right!
L & P trusted me, and my Big Sur expertise, to show them around some of my favorite locations. Big Sur has SO many unique settings, each with its’ own vibes. It really depends on what you’re going for. I always ask couples to describe their ideal location or send over some inspiration photos before a session, so I know exactly where we should go in Big Sur. Leslie definitely knew she wanted the ocean vibes. Of course, I had to bring them to one of my favorite spots, Garrapata State Park!
Even though we had overcast skies during the session, I think it makes the gorgeous cliffs stand out even more. After staying up on the hillside for a while, we followed the easy trails down to the shoreline! That’s another thing I love about this part of Big Sur, the entire park has easily access trails perfect for almost everyone. At the end of our session, Leslie wanted to get in the (freezing) cold Pacific Ocean water, and it was the best time! We were all laughing almost the entire time, and had an absolute blast! I LOVE leaving a session with wet pants, sandy feet, and my cheeks aching from smiling so much.
