Ardenwood Historic Farm Wedding

This Ardenwood Historic Farm wedding was everything I could have dreamed of! Between the couple, their supporting people, and the awesome vendor team, Cassie & Isaac’s day could not have gone more perfectly.

Cassie & Isaac’s Ardenwood Historic Farm Wedding

I cannot talk about Cassie & Isaac’s wedding without emphasizing how beautiful their friends and family were, inside and out. They had a pretty big group for their wedding party, but every single member was truly there for them and so excited and happy for the couple! Everyone was so kind and welcomed me right away, which I always appreciate so much. C & I picked the absolute best group of people to have beside them on their special day. Everyone did everything in their power to make sure everything was going perfectly for the happy couple. From fixing Cassie’s dress when needed and just being the absolute best hype girls, her bridesmaids were ready for anything!

I always love when I can feel how much everyone loves the couple and I love seeing how helpful they were. One thing to know about Sadie Mak is that I am really protective of my clients and go above and beyond to make sure their day is running smoothly. I really try and do what I can to make my couples happy and comfortable while working with them. So when I see that the people surrounding them on such an important day are being positive and supportive. it really warms my heart! Both sides of the family were beyond happy that these two were finally tying the knot and it really showed. Even the speeches during the reception were beautiful and I’m so happy these two have each other and such a supportive group of family and friends!

Cassie & Isaac – my dream clients!

I met Cassie and Isaac a while back when I took their Santa Cruz engagement photos! I immediately noticed how much Casie loved, respected, and valued my work. That’s honestly all I could ever ask for in a client! We connected instantly and became friends, frequently communicating during the time leading up to her big day. We talked about all of her fun wedding ideas, and I loved hearing all about her vision! She shared photos of her dress with me, which meant a lot because she was doing a dress reveal with her bridesmaids on the big day. She trusted me with her wedding timeline and really trusted me and my opinion while planning their day.

Their love story

When I asked Cassie about her and Isaac’s love story, she was so excited to share it!! So, of course, I knew I needed to include it in the blog. They originally met as plus ones for their best friends’ first date at Saddle Rock, a local bar! They were introduced, but didn’t pay much attention to each other… did I mention they were both playing hard to get?! After Cassie lost track of her girlfriends, she asked Isaac if he had seen them anywhere. He immediately took this opportunity to take Cassie to the dance floor, because that’s where he said he had seen her friends! Now, he absolutely did not see them – in fact, he had no idea where they were. Smooth moves, right?? After that, they danced the night away together!

Fast forward to November of 2021, Isaac proposed at Shark Cove Beach in Santa Cruz, one of their favorite spots to take their frenchie, Zoe. They had a pretty short engagement, tying the knot in August 2022 and of course having me as their photographer! It’s been so special to document both their engagement and now their wedding.

A beautiful, sweet, and emotional wedding day

Almost everyone was holding back tears on their wedding day! When Cassie walked down the aisle, Isaac failed in holding back his tears and I don’t blame him! She looked so beautiful as she met him at the altar – even I was starting to get emotional!

After their ceremony, we took some amazing sunset portraits before their grand entrance. The speeches given by their friends and family were the perfect mix of emotional and hilarious! Once the speeches were over, Cassie and Isaac shared the sweetest first dance together. All that was left was the cake cutting and then the rest of the wedding everyone danced the night away! Their Dj had the coolest lights and fog machine for some awesome photos.
