When Jasmin and Chris inquired with me about taking their Big Sur wedding photos, I absolutely couldn’t say no. Not only was their wedding extremely intimate, but it was held at one of my favorite venues, Big Sur Lodge! It was nothing short of a privilege to document this day for J & C, and now I can’t wait to share the photos with you.
Jasmin and Chris originally met working at a bank over ten years ago. They started dating, and eventually got married almost a decade later! Chris is a musician, and throughout the years Jasmin has gone to all of his shows. How sweet is that?! He even sang to her at their wedding, which was planned in less than a year!
When we had our original consult call, I got to speak with both of them and we instantly clicked. I love when clients feel more like friends than anything – and Jasmin & Chris definitely felt that way. Which of course made me even more excited to take their Big Sur wedding photos. You could feel how much they loved each other just by hearing their story, and their wedding day reflected that love perfectly. It was small, intimate, and only included their closest friends and family. As you can see from the photos, everyone had an amazing time!
Jasmin & Chris’ Big Day
Throughout their wedding day, I was amazed at how sweet Chris was with Jasmin. While taking their Big Sur wedding photos, I was able to observe and document their love so authentically! Little things like the way he looked at her, or helped her with her dress when she needed it, absolutely melted my heart. Everyone in attendance was just so happy and excited that they were finally able to get married after all this time.
The wedding colors and florals were gorgeous, and it was even more special because Jasmin’s mom did all the florals. All their decor was DIY at their venue, Big Sur Lodge, and they did a fantastic job! Jasmin looked stunning, thanks to her natural beauty and very talented hair & makeup artist Kala Ketchum. Everything came together beautifully!
At the end of their wedding, they had a little surprise in store – they announced the gender of their baby! Friends and family weren’t supposed to find out until a week later, so as you can imagine, everyone was shocked when they used their cake cutting as a gender reveal!
This day was so special to document, and I couldn’t have had a better time taking Jasmin & Chris’ Big Sur wedding photos. I wish them nothing but the best on their journey as a married couple!
