Although I’m probably a little biased, Visala is one of my favorite places for couples having their wedding in California. Although the Central Valley doesn’t get as much hype as other places in California, I think it deserves more credit! If you’re looking for a beautiful quiet, underrated location to get married, say no more. To give you an idea of how gorgeous your Central Valley wedding can be, I put together a list of my favorite wedding venues near Visalia!
The Woodlands // My Favorite Wedding Venues near Visalia
The Woodlands is technically a private park located in Northwest Visalia, but a beautiful wedding venue nonetheless. The park (in total) sits on 30,000 square feet, so you know there’ll be plenty of room for your wedding! There’s a built in dance floor & bar that’s ready for you and your crew to bring the life of the party. There are Italian Cypress trees on one of the ceremony lawns that would make for a perfect backdrop as you say your vows. This venue comes equipped with tables & chairs for 200 people in total. And one of the best parts – you can hold your wedding/bridal shower here at The Woodlands before your big day!
The Gardens Venue // My Favorite Wedding Venues near Visalia
The Gardens Venue is a newer venue to the area, but I already know it’s going to be very popular in the near future. If you want a more intimate, indoor setting for your Visalia wedding, you can hold your ceremony in the barn. Or if you want to take advantage of the perfect California weather, you can say “I do” on the manicured ceremony lawn! For your reception, picture this: a beautiful, bistro-lit dinner catered by Jack’s Catering, surrounded by trees and other greenery. How perfect does that sound?! Your venue reservation will be from 11 am to 11 pm, and there’s a beautiful onsite getting ready suite for your convenience. The Gardens Venue can hold up to 200 guests for your wedding day!
Westwood Barns // My Favorite Wedding Venues near Visalia
Okay I have to tell you the story behind this venue because it’s just too cute. A woman from the east coast started dating a man from Tulare, CA, and eventually they got engaged. She fell in love with his hometown, and wanted to get married there more than anything! So together, they built Westwood Barns from the ground up. And it still serves as a Visalia wedding venue to this day! It officially opened in 2014, complete with an 8500 sq ft ceremony lawn that can comfortably accommodate up to 500 guests.
With so much space sprawling across the farmlands of Westwood, there are so many breathtaking spaces for your wedding photos here. If you want a venue that feels like it’s a part of Mother Nature, this one’s for you! They not only take inspiration from the surrounding nature, but they also utilize natural features to provide a stunning scene for your ceremony. There’s also a 2500 sq ft manicured courtyard for cocktail hour, so your guests won’t even notice me steal you away for photos.
Evanalle Vineyards // My Favorite Wedding Venues near Visalia
You might not even believe that this Visalia wedding venue is, well, in Visalia. Imagine the rustic elegance of Tuscany, but right smack dab in the middle of California’s Central Valley. If you’re planning an Italian-inspired wedding but don’t want to travel out of the country, I promise you’ll love Evanalle Vineyards. The modern interior space is nearly 5,000 sq feet, and is perfect for up to 450 of your friends and family. The area is light and airy, keeping up with the Tuscan theme we’ve got going on here. The venue sits on beautifully landscaped vineyards, so you’ll seriously feel like you’re in the Italian countryside.
Their exclusive catering option, The Painted Table, is a full-service company that can even build you a custom cocktail menu for your wedding day. I don’t know about you, but that’s a dealmaker for me! And if you’re planning a microwedding with under 75 guests, they have discounted packages to suit your needs.
Koetsier Ranch // My Favorite Wedding Venues near Visalia
I fell in love with this wedding venue when I shot here awhile back for Vonnie and Ryan’s big day! This venue is actually located in Visalia, and its definitely one of the most beautiful ones in the area. It’s surrounded by acres of farmland in Tulare County, and as you can see there are tons of super pretty palm trees all around! There’s a 1600 sq. foot barn that’s onsite that would be perfect for your indoor reception.
