Yosemite National Park
I’ll start with one of the most obvious spots, Yosemite National Park. If you know me, you know I LOVE national park locations like Yosemite for engagements, weddings, elopements, really anything! Yosemite offers so many unique, incredible views that really can’t be matched. Some of my favorite parts of Yosemite to take engagement photos are Taft Point and El Capitan meadow in Yosemite Valley. Taft point requires a hike but Yosemite Valley is very easy to get to which makes it a perfect spot for engagement photos and why it made my list of Top 5 engagement session locations in California.
Big Sur
Big Sur is an amazing part of the California coastline and is already pretty popular for tourists and the adventurous type. That does NOT mean that your photos will look the same as everyone else’s though, so don’t worry! Big Sur has a ton of different features, so whether you’re looking for breathtaking cliff side views, a clean and beautiful beach, or a beautiful redwood forest, Big Sur has it all. Combine it with a lil’ California road trip and make your engagement session something truly memorable!! I love a San Fran engagement session because we can visit a ton of different spots to get a lot of unique photos! Some of my favorites are Baker Beach, Lands End, San Francisco Botanical Garden and SF City Hall!
