Elopements

If you ever need a sign to skip the traditional wedding, here it is! As a Yosemite elopement photographer, I’m always encouraging couples to get married their way. And if that happens to mean tying the knot at Yosemite National Park, I’m all in! Juanita & Andres originally planned to have a traditional wedding before changing their minds. They knew they wanted something small and intimate, which is exactly what they got.

In the year leading up to their elopement, Juanita and I became such good friends. Between the late night texts and meme conversations, we were able to connect in a way that just made me that much more excited to photograph their special day. We had an instant connection during our consult call, which is always a good sign. I’m forever grateful for the connections I make because of my job!

When J & A were looking for a Yosemite elopement photographer, they knew they wanted someone with experience. It can sometimes be tricky eloping at Yosemite, so it’s always important that your photographer knows what they’re doing. For example, there was a slight hiccup with our original plans. In the weeks leading up to their Yosemite elopement, there were some unexpected road closures. Glacier Road was closed due to early snow storms! That meant our entire plans for the day needed to be changed.

Of course, J & A were naturally a little stressed as to what we were gonna do. But because I’ve photographed tons of Yosemite elopements, I knew exactly what to do! I was able to quickly come up with a plan that made everyone happy. Making sure my couples are 100% happy is always my #1 priority.

Two days before their elopement the road had opened back and our original plan was back on! It was such an awesome feeling getting to share the news with Juanita and everything turned out perfect.
