Natalie & Kyle’s engagement photos in Big Sur turned out so amazing!! If you’re looking for inspiration for your engagement session, you’ve come to the right place. Although the lighting was a little harsher than ideal, we made it work and still got some pretty insane photos. Engagement Photos Big Sur

Some clients I’ve known for years, and some clients randomly find me through Instagram and we connect instantly. Natalie was a part of the latter! She saw my photos on Instagram and fell in love with my work, and inquired from there. Her and Kyle already knew they wanted engagement photos in Big Sur (so it was a match made in heaven) and that’s why they knew I was the photographer for them. When I got their inquiry, I immediately smiled and knew we’d have a great time together.

Once we started chatting details, Natalie’s only condition was that she wanted some sort of spring blooms for their engagement photos in Big Sur. I said “No problem!” Since I’m in Big Sur almost every week, I kept a close eye on the status of the floral blooming. Off the bat, I told them that June would most likely be the best time do have their session. You can only imagine my excitement when one week before their engagement photos, the flowers were in FULL bloom!

Fast forward to the day of their session – it was honestly one of the sunniest days I had ever seen in Big Sur. Like I mentioned earlier, harsh lighting isn’t always ideal for outdoor photos. But your girl had it covered! Because I’ve been to this location countless times, I was able to do more than just make it work. We got some absolutely amazing photos, and they ended up being some of my favorites of all my Big Sur engagement photos!

We started off their session on one of my favorite cliffs in Big Sur. I love when my couples totally go with flow and trust me to take them to spots that will make their photos turn out the best. As you can see in the photos, even this spot had some colorful vegetation! After we were done with that locations, we headed to where the blooms were. Natalie was SO excited & giddy, it was so much fun to watch!! We got some super cute photos of them laying in the flowers, which were of course her favorite. Once we finished, we headed down the beach to finish off the session. They popped a bottle of wine, had a cute little picnic blanket, and my photographer heart was full and happy!
