I got to go somewhere a little different for Taylor & Garret’s engagement photos in the snow!! I’ve worked with these two before, so it was so nice having them in front of my camera again. Enjoy these winter wonderland engagement photos at King’s Canyon National Park!
Snowy engagement photos at King’s Canyon
These definitely aren’t your typical engagement photos! T & G decided to ditch tradition and do something different to celebrate their engagement with me. We had already been to Shaver Lake together for a couples session I shot for them, but they wanted a change of scenery for these. They decided that they wanted engagement photos in the snow, and I said HECK YES! I couldn’t have been more excited! They wanted to do them at King’s Canyon because that’s where Garrett proposed to Taylor. I always encourage my couples to choose a location that has a special meaning to them so that your photos will be even more nostalgic to look back on!
Leading up to their engagement session, I loved finding out that Taylor and I had so much in common. We’re both Swifties (I might judge you if you aren’t!) and our personalities just meshed so well together. I love it when I can relate to my couples and we all just feel like friends hanging out! That’s exactly what happened during their session. On my way to our spot, I was literally getting giddy because of how excited I was to see them and have fun in the snow! The redwoods at King’s Canyon are absolutely beautiful in the wintertime – I can’t wait to go back.
Taylor’s showstopping outfit!
When Taylor stepped out of the car in her black velvet dress and fur coat, I just about died. She looked so amazing in her outfit, and it was perfect for the snowy vibes! Of course, Garrett looked great too, but we all agreed that Taylor totally stole the show with her look. I loved it so much!
We froze our butts for the first part of the session, but I did my best to make it a fun experience and distracted them from how cold it was. We got the dreamiest snowy photos and I couldn’t be happier. To end our session, they changed into comfier (and warmer!) clothes and we had a blast playing in the snow! I brought my sleds and these two had a race down a hill and I was there to capture it all! I love when my clients can be themselves and not worry about all the perfectly posed photos and enjoy these fun moments together. I live for these kinds of sessions. I’m so excited to celebrate with these two this summer!
