This Yosemite engagement session was seriously a dream! Not only is Yosemite one of my favorite places to shoot, but Chelsea & Aaron were so much fun to work with. This session was at Taft Point, Yosemite, which is definitely in my top fave locations within the park. Keep in mind, if you’re wanting to shoot here, it’ll be closed next year and won’t reopen until 2023. Don’t worthy though, there are still plenty of awesome spots at Yosemite to choose from if you want to take your engagement photos here.
When we originally started this session, it was pouring rain. We decided to wait for the rain to stop and ended up hiking up to Taft Point where we got the most BEAUTIFUL sunset. And you can’t even tell from the photos that we were getting majorly rained on shortly before shooting. I’m telling you, this is why I love a good Yosemite engagement session. When my couples trust me and are down for anything (AKA not getting discouraged when it’s pouring rain) it makes my job so much more fun!
The best part of this session was how Aaron conquered his fear of heights so that Chelsea could have the engagement photos of her dreams. As you can see, Taft Point definitely isn’t height-phobia friendly, but Aaron was a trooper through the whole thing. He knew he would be literally standing over a cliff and did not complain one time. And the photos were so worth it.
